Storms a comin
When they forecast a storm days in advance and issue a storm warning almost 24 hours in advance I think we are in for a big one.
They are saying we will be getting snow, then ice, then wind. Ron has to work today while they take the entire McGraw-Hill building off the grid to replace a transformer. Hopefully it will not take all day. We have a wedding contracted at 4pm! It is a ceremony only but we need to set up like we do for a full ceremony and reception. Then we are host and hostess or as we are called "Fairy God Parents" to Angela and Sarah's holiday bash. That starts at 7pm. I think tomorrow I will sleep!
Actually I went to bed early last night in preparation for all this excitement.
Ron has taken off every Friday between last Friday and Christmas to help me and get caught up with things around here. I took on 2 rush projects in the last 2 weeks so I am a bit out of whack. They are done and I have many goals for before Christmas. Mitchel is excited to make some extra $$'s so I am hoping he will be helping me in the office some.
Still need to decorate around here for Christmas. Not sure when I will get that done. I do not want to put a bunch of lights outside this year. I might get rid of some of the stuff I have and go a little "greener" and try to reduce my carbon footprint. We are pigs in this house with electricity!
We took the boys with us to the opening of 2 new exhibits at the art museum. Of course they were the only children there, but it does not say no children! The paintings upstairs are really cool even if you are not into art. They depict almost a "seek and find" or "find it" book. If you have kids you might know what I mean. They are people and objects all put together. Thursday are free if you are interested. Or check out the latest issue of 365INK to view some of the work.
Get some groceries and gas in your car as my mom would say and:
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!
