Fair!

Fricken hot as hell and we brave the fair not once by twice in the same day! It is currently 6pm and it is 90! We went out for the demolition derby and I bought the kids ride bracelets. Their first time ever riding the rides. They were so excited. There was a soaker hose at the end of the midway, but most of the wetness in the photos is sweat. I took a red cotton bandana and kept wetting it and putting it around my neck or on my head. We came home and I showered and we are going back for another round tonight to see the stock car races. Boys want to get a few more rides in too.
I took them Thursday to the Lego contest and back Thursday night with Ron. Ron put a few photos in at the fair and gained a few more blue ribbons. Mitchel got a blue ribbon and best of show too. Willie did not want to do it, so he helped our neighbor girl make a creation. She got a best of show and blue ribbon too! In my hurry to get a camera ready on Friday - I did not take all of the photos off of the flash ram, so some of the photos from Thursday are lost.
Going to be braving this heat for a few more days. We have a picnic at Eagle Point Park and Wednesday night is Taste of Dubuque.
Yes, we are the land of many festivals.
