Sizzling
Hot hot hot. Today again it will be in the upper 90's. Yesterday was the same and we were blessed to be inside the airconditioning about all day. I ran to farmers market and loaded up my bag. There were people there with old fashioned baskets. One ladys looked so great I wished I had a camera. Took a photo last week at market and it made it into Dubuque365INK magazine of Ron buying stuff. Found a beautiful rasperry tart.
Took the tart and made some mini sandwiches with bread I bought there and put together a small picnic lunch and took it out to the Bunker. Sat we worked on assembling 16 web servers(computers) there. For those who do not know what the bunker is, click above. It is an old decomissioned nuclear safe bunker 2 stories into the ground. It just happenes to be where our webservers are. Anyway, it was a family affair.
We stopped at Seth & Michelle and saw their new baby Jarin. We headed down to the bunker and ate our picnic inside. Then all helped put together servers. Boys helped unbox and toss stuff. Mitchel helped pop out some metal plates and played on the laptop since there is wireless access there. I helped out Michelle by holding the baby a bit. I think everyone knows my aversion to babies. I think I can get pregnant from just holding one! But I actually enjoyed holding him until til he fell asleep and then I sat while he was sleeping and held him! He is adorable and very hungry all the time. Just like Willie!
We made it home and I whipped up some supper and then it was off to a pool party at
Flora from 7-9 our neighbors rented out for their kids and grandchildren.
Ron has to go back out to the bunker and finish things up today. Not sure if I will go since it is 1/2 hour away. Too much to get cleaned up here. My kitchen is perpetual chaos! Japenese beetles were eating my basil so I had to make pesto yesterday so I could it it instead of them. They go nuts in the hot weather. Tonight is music in the gardens at the arboretum. Today is Sundaes in the gardens. Not sure how they will keep it cold.
This week we have a Business pm where we will have a trade show booth. Have to work on that before Tuesday!
Stay cool.
